Hey Government

Query-Point® is a platform for getting information from signs of all types, through the use of our app, into the hands of consumers.

The app and service is always free to app users.

Government departments and agencies of all types use signage to communicate with the public. Query-Point is designed to allow consumers to grab info from signs seen while on the go, such as how to line up for Covid testing, Zoning changes on a property, a water and sewer project or a “Welcome” to my town or state.

How it works: To get a response, the app user must be within 2200 feet of the sign. The app user may then say the name the department, say, “Zoning” or “Welcome”, or use our default keyword “Hey Government”.

“Hey Government” is the short cut keyword that app users may use to grab info from any government signs within range. We recommend that agencies place our “Hey Government” icon on signage to allow consumers to know the info is available.

What info the app user receives:

Audio is always first.

This may be either a recorded message or you may use our up to 2,000 character text to speech audio. There can be multiple pictures to view.

Contact points could include phone, text, and email.

Video can be posted.

Additionally there may be links to several websites and to multiple social media pages.

All signs in the directory get an icon for safety and convenience on the map found on the app. 

This makes it easy for people to look back down their route if they had seen something that piqued their interest.

Each sign also has a printable QR code that leads to the same info for use when appropriate.

Each directory listing is easily shared

Suggested categories and “keywords” would include: Zoning, Public Safety, Parks and Recreation, Utilities (Gas, Electric, Water, Sewer), Public Works, Traffic, Tourism, and Information. Each agency can maintain its own listings and keep the info as up to date as possible.

The cost is $10 per month for 50 reusable listings.

About the system: Query-Point uses the fixed GPS location of a location or sign, and compares that to the moving GPS location of the user using our app. When the two locations come within range of each other (called a geo-fence), the system can respond to the person speaking keywords into the app; the system then provides an audio response along with other data being sent through to the app to the consumer.
